Teaching Business English
- Prepare learners for interviews, meetings and presentations
- Methodology for working with corporate clients
- Specialist Level 5 qualification
- Five modules, 60 guided learning hours
English is the working language of international business, which is why companies look for a teacher who trains their staff in workplace communication rather than General English. This programme answers that demand.
A Business English lesson has different content: sector terminology, the language of meetings and negotiations, building a presentation, report writing, email etiquette and communicating by phone. The programme works through each of these.
The qualification is awarded by Highfield Qualifications under Ofqual regulation and is aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), so an employer abroad can verify it independently.
This Award is usually taken alongside the 180-hour Level 5 Diploma: the diploma builds the foundation, the Award specialises you in one segment — corporate clients.

What this course gives you
A segment that can pay
A corporate client expects a measurable result and pays accordingly. In this segment a formal qualification is the client's main basis for trust.
The difference from General English, taught explicitly
If you do not know why a learner is studying Business English, the lesson drifts off topic. The programme establishes that difference first, then builds the lesson around it.
Real workplace situations
Learners practise speaking in a meeting, presenting and writing correspondence — not invented exercises, but the situations they meet at work tomorrow.
A specialism on top of the diploma
Taken with the Level 5 Diploma it shows two things on a CV: a full teaching qualification and a defined specialism.
Who this course is for
- You have English at B2 or above, evidenced by a certificate
